NPA Region 2 Symposium - Nurse Practitioners- The Future is Here
The purpose of this regional conference is to provide evidence-based clinical and professional updates for Nurse Practitioners from all specialties. The program will emphasize state-of-the-science care of patients and the vital role of nurse practitioners.
Contact Hours: This activity is approved for 6.0 contact hours of continuing education (which includes 1.5 hours of pharmacology) by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Activity ID #19023575. This activity was planned in accordance with AANP Accreditation Standards and Policies.
Maximum number of attendees is 126. If we have not reached our maximum number walk-ins will be accepted. We encourage you register early to secure your spot.
Objectives: After attending conference, participants will be able to:
1. Analyze the current Nurse Practitioner workforce in New York State and implications for health policy.
2. Formulate evidence-based approaches to the diagnosis and management of various physical and behavioral health conditions.
3. Utilize current evidence and guidelines in their practice.

This session focuses on genomic aspects of psychopharmacology.
1:30 pm - 4:30 pm - The Business of Healthcare for Nurse Practitioners - Leesa Israel, BA, CPC, CUC, CEMC, CPPM, CMBS, AAPC MACRA
This three hour workshop provides updates on billing and coding documentation. The focus is on translating patient care documentation into evaluation and management (E/M) codes for payment.
