Region 7 Board Nominees Announced

Region 7 has completed the approval process for our Region 7 Board nominees for the November election with terms to begin on January 1st, 2019.
The board approved candidates for the position of Secretary are as follows:
Chrystyne Olivieri, DNP, FNP-BC, CDE
Dr. Chrystyne Olivieri received her DNP in 2015 from Stony Brook University and her FNP in 2004 from LIU @ CW Post College. She is employed as an Assistant Professor in Graduate Nursing FNP program at LIU @ Post College and in a clinical practice at Sound Endocrinology in Stony Brook, NY where she precepts students. She is a certified Diabetes Educator and Chronic Care Provider Certified in Motivational Interviewing. She is an avid researcher and has obtained thousands of dollars in research grants. She has multiple article publications and has lectured on both national and local levels on diabetes and endocrinology, including NPALI's annual conference. She is an active member in many professional organizations which include among others the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties, Scope Educational Services, Sigma Theta Tau Alpha Eta Society, American Diabetes Association, NPANYS and NPALI.
Ethel Simmons Ulrich, DNP, ANP-BC
Dr. Ethel Simmons Ulrich received her DNP in 2014 from Loyola University, New Orleans, her Post-Masters Adult Nurse Practitioner in 1996 from Molloy College and a Masters of Science in Adult Health and Nursing Education in 1992 from Molloy College. She is employed as an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of DNP Clinical Practice at Molloy College where she has participated in global international health missions to Jamaica, West Indies and has spearheaded and integrated many academic programs. She is a published author and has provided numerous Podium/Poster/Panel presentations. She holds multiple certifications and has received numerous honors. Most recently, she was nominated for the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council Nurse of Excellence for Molloy College. She holds active memberships in the NYSNPA, NPALI, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Preventative Cardiovascular Nurses Association and is a South Nassau Communities Hospital Advanced Practice Nursing Council Board Member.
All Regular and Retired members will vote electronically in November via Electionbuddy. Per regional bylaws student members are not eligible to vote. An email link has been sent to eligible voters. Electronic voting is open from November 2nd, 2018 until November 30th, 2018 at 11:59 pm.
