In accordance with the by-Laws, a call for nominations is being issued for the election of 2027 executive officers. Terms will begin Jan. 1, 2027. All regular/retired members have

the right and privilege of submitting their names or the name of a consenting colleague as nominees for board positions. Mentoring is readily available.

Requirements: A minimum of one year of active membership with the Nurse Practitioner

Association of Long Island and The New York State Nurse Practitioner Association. A

statement from nominee supporting their nomination and their personal professional

philosophy and goals. Resume/CV.

Available positions for 2027 are:

President - Elect:

(3 year total commitment: President-Elect, President, Past President)

The President Elect shall:

• Assume the office of the president at the completion of the President's Term of Office
• Perform duties as assigned by the President
• Attend various committee and board meetings
• Review bylaws

Secretary (2 year term)

The Secretary shall:

• Attend executive board, Finance Committee, members and general board meetings
• Keep the full and correct account of all meeting minutes and voting which will be kept electronically
• Distribute board meeting minutes to board members
• Give notice of all special meetings of the board and all other notices required by law or the bylaws
• Keep in safe custody the seal of the corporation and affix it to any instrument when so authorized by the Executive Board or President
• Keep all the Corporate books and records of the NPALI as required by law or otherwise in a proper and safe manner
• Distribute conflict of interest declaration and disclosure statement to board members
• Perform such duties as assigned by the President
