The NPA would like to invite you to join us in Saratoga Springs, NY for our 34th Annual Conference, Practicing with Purpose. Come and join your colleagues and celebrate 30 years of landmark legislation authorizing title and scope of practice for NPs in New York State, which was passed in 1988. We understand that there are many opportunities available to you and we are please to offer you a wide variety of clinical and professional development topics, providing contact and pharmacology hours, as well as the opportunity to network with your peers. The NPA Conference Committee strives to offer you a pleasant and rewarding continuing education and professional development experience while attending our annual conference.

Keynote Presenter - Eileen O'Grady, PhD, RN, NP-BC
It is with great pleasure that we are able to present Eileen O'Grady, PhD, RN, NP-BC as our Keynote speaker who will present, "Be the CEO of Your Life: Executive Skills for the NP." Dr. O'Grady is a certified nurse practitioner who has practiced in primary care for over two decades. In that role she experienced a wide breadth and depth of humanity with disorders of the mind, body and spirit.
She holds three graduate degrees from George Washington University and George Mason University in nursing as well as public health and a PhD in nursing. Eileen writes a blog, has edited 2 books, authored numerous book chapters and articles and has a busy public speaking calendar. Dr. O’Grady was a 1999 U.S. Public Health Service Primary Care Policy Fellow and has received awards from the George Washington University for outstanding teaching. In addition, she has completed a series of courses at the Parent Encouragement Program, a practical, proven approach to child-rearing based upon the Adlerian philosophy of mutual respect, shared responsibility, developing competence, and winning cooperation. Eileen is currently a certified adult nurse practitioner licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and a certified Wellness Coach (through Wellcoaches, accredited by the American College of Sports Medicine) and certified Life Coach through the International Coaching Federation.
