Bio Sketch
My name is Marietta Api, ACNP-BC. I am presently the Regional Director for Region 5 in the NPANY. I have held this position for the last 3 ½ years, assuming the last year of Alice Looney’s term, and continuing on the next 3 years. I am retired from a position as an Acute Care Cardiology Nurse Practitioner in the Montefiore Health Care System, having more than 20 years as a NP, and 25 years before that as a Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist and Educator.

My time is spent volunteering in my community, as a Hudson River Docent, leading tours, sharing food and clothing in my congregation, and influencing immigrants in Yonkers, meeting with neighbors to meet their needs.

The last four years have been spent working with The NPA toward regionalization, gathering fine leaders, and working with the most wonderful people. I am blessed to be part of a team to represent almost 500 NPs in our Region. I am also on the Annual Conference Committee, and continue to influence education, speakers, and topics presented there each year.

It would be my honor to continue this work for the next few years. Thank you for your consideration.
