Robert L. Pitkofsky, Esq. provides estate planning for families, including special needs planning for families that have a member with disabilities or mental health challenges. If necessary, he works with the family to obtain guardianship over a loved-one in need of protection. Rob also counsels companies in the areas of business law, nonprofit law, corporate contracts and transactions. His experience also includes employment law, trademark, copyright and litigation. Rob is proud to have served as the corporate counsel for the Nurse Practitioner Association New York State since 2012 and supports New York and New Jersey licensed nurse practitioners in the areas of corporate, contracts, employment, litigation, and estate planning.
Rob also devotes much time to serving his community and is active on many community boards throughout the Lower Hudson Valley. He brings this passion for community and service into play when working with individual clients dealing with challenges, such as planning for a family member with disabilities or mental health challenges, as well as their estate planning. Rob is proud to serve on the New York State Bar Association’s Disability Rights committee and as a board member of the Rockland County Bar Association.
He served as appellate law clerk to the Honorable Sylvia B. Pressler, the Presiding Judge for Administration for the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. Robert is admitted to the New York and New Jersey bars. Rob is a graduate of Binghamton University (B.A., 1998) and Rutgers University School of Law (J.D., 2001).
