Region 4 is seeking nominations for President Elect and Secretary. Please consider joining our dynamic Board of Directors for The NPA Region 4. The President Elects term will begin in January 2018 and then will serve as President for all of 2019. The Secretary will serve a two-year term beginning in January 2018.

Below are the position descriptions as outlined in Region 4's bylaws.
The president-elect will serve a term of one (1) calendar year, and in the following year, will automatically enter the office of President. Perform the duties of the President in his/her absence, including presiding at The NPA Region 4 Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and general membership meetings. Perform any duties designated by the President and/or The NPA Region 4 Board of Directors. Serve as President in the event of a vacancy occurring in that office, for the remainder of the vacated term, and then for his/her own term of office in that position.
The secretary shall serve a term of two (2) calendar years and be elected in even-numbered years. Record and keep minutes of The NPA Region 4 general membership and Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings. Preserve for a period of seven years from the date of their filing with an authoritarian body or their creation (whichever is later) all The NPA Region 4 minutes, correspondence, articles, and other informational documents, either originating with the Secretary or collected from committee chairpersons (excluding financial documents, membership lists and data, program planning materials, election materials, newsletter input sources, legislative materials, and The NPA organizational materials) with any intended destruction of this material after that period receiving prior approval of The NPA Region 4 Executive Committee. Collect from committee chairpersons at least annually and archive news clippings, copies of program announcements, photographs of members, and records of achievements, awards, honors, and special events related to The NPA Region 4 and its individual members. Provide notice of all special meetings and any other notices that may be required by these Bylaws or The NPA Region 4 policy manual. May hold office for 2 terms consecutively.
Only regular and retired members are eligible to hold officer positions.
